A 34-year-old man has been arrested at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) with over Rs. 5 million worth of cosmetics.
The suspect, a resident of Batticaloa, was apprehended by Sri Lanka Customs officials at the arrival lounge after they discovered the cosmetics concealed in his suitcase.
Preliminary investigations reveal that the suspect, a businessman, was a frequent traveler and had arrived from Mumbai, India. Sri Lanka Customs has confirmed that further investigations are underway.
